Swap3D uses WebAssembly to run complex 3D conversion engines directly in your browser. This means your files are processed locally using your device's CPU, making it incredibly fast and completely private.
Because all the conversion logic is downloaded to your browser as WebAssembly modules. You can even disconnect your internet after the page loads, and the conversion will still work perfectly!
Since the heavy lifting of 3D conversion happens on your own device rather than our servers, our server costs are extremely low. We offer this as a free tool to the community. We sustain the project through our Pro API for developers.
Any modern web browser (Chrome, Firefox, Safari, Edge) on a desktop or decent smartphone. However, for very large files (50MB+), we recommend using a desktop computer with at least 8GB of RAM.
Nowhere! It stays strictly on your hard drive and in your browser's temporary memory. We do not upload, store, or analyze your 3D models.
